SOCRI pro YOUTH is a balanced plant complex with regenerative, antiglycation, and protective effects on the tissue structure. SOCRI pro YOUTH, with its balanced and innovative composition, is capable of combating and solving some of the tissue problems connected with ageing. Thanks to the activity of extracts that mimic the effects of hormones, it exercises a powerful stimulating effect on the fibroblasts, thereby activating production of the proteins essential to tissue structure: Collagen and Elastin. It also stimulates the production of Integrin Alpha 2 and Beta 1, which reinforce the Dermal Epidermal Junction (DEJ).

Akebia Quinata Extract: also known as the Chocolate Vine, it produces sweet fruits and flowers with an aroma similar to that of cacao. Its extract contains numerous carbohydrates, Oleanolic Acid, Hederagenin and Myoinositol. These substances have the ability to inhibit the formation of advanced glycation end products (AGEs).

Cimicifuga Racemosa Extract: the extract is obtained from the root of the Cimicifuga and contains triterpene glycosides, which give the plant anti-inflammatory and balance-restoring properties. Of particular interest are its isoflavones, whose chemical structure mimics that of hormones. Recognized by the specific receptors and functioning as hormones would, they stimulate the production of Collagen by inducing fibroblast activity.

Polygonum Cuspidatum Extract: this extract contains resveratrol, an interesting active substance with phytoestrogenic activity. Like other active substances with a chemical structure similar to that of oestrogens, it is capable of stimulating tissue regeneration by stimulating the fibroblasts to produce Collagen and Elastin.

Soy Isoflavones Extract: Soy extract contains some interesting components, similar to Flavonoids, which are called Isoflavones. Two of these, Genistein and Daidzein, have been proven to be the most active. Its particular chemical structure interacts with oestrogen receptors and is thereby able to stimulate tissue tropism.

Angelica Polymorpha Extract: this plant extract is composed of phytosterols (beta-sitosterol), polysaccharides and flavonoids. Its cosmetic interest is linked to its ability to stimulate tissue regeneration through Collagen synthesis. It also has antioxidant properties.

Trifolium Pratense Extract: this extract contains Isoflavones. Its particular chemical structure interacts with the oestrogen receptors and is thereby able to stimulate Collagen production, activating tissue regeneration.

Pueraria Lobata Extract: its properties are attributable to its high Isoflavone content. In particular, it contains daidzein and genistein, substances with anti-inflammatory activities, most well-known for being the most important soy isoflavones. They have a marked predisposition to interact with specific receptors, thereby activating tissue regeneration.

Dioscorea Villosa Extract: this extract contains active substances which have interesting cosmetic applications, steroidal Saponins, diosgenin, steroid hormone precursors, dioscorea, and DHEA. Of these, the diosgenin, triterpenoid saponins and the DHEA are of great interest, given their ability to act on a trophic level, regenerating skin tissue through the production of Collagen and Elastin.

Kigelia Africana Extract: this extract contains Saponins and Flavonoids which are very interesting due to their trophic activity. Hydroluteolin-7-O-glucoside, luteolin-7-O-glucoside and luteolin mimic the effects of hormones and, by increasing skin fibroblast activity, hyaluronic acid and water content and the level of dermal collagen, they regenerate skin tissue. Its vascular protection and venotonic activity promote tissue oxygenation and nutrition.

Tonifying and anti-ageing activity: in vitro studies have proven that, thanks to the activity of extracts that mimic the effects of hormones, the use of SOCRI pro YOUTH at a 2% concentration leads to an increase in the synthesis of collagen VII - with a resulting improvement in cell and tissue cohesion - and the inhibition of collagenase (MMP-1) through TNF-a expression in a dose-dependent fashion. SOCRI pro YOUTH, used in a 2% concentration, promotes the synthesis of integrin a2ß1, which is responsible for dermal epidermal junction.

Antiglycation activity: in vitro studies have proven that SOCRI pro YOUTH is able to regulate and inhibit the formation of glycation end products, which can irreversibly increase rigidity and fragility of tissue texture, reducing its compactness and elasticity.

Antioxidant activity: in vitro studies have shown that SOCRI pro YOUTHis able to protect the fibroblasts from oxidative stress induced by H2O2 and Rotenone. Its antioxidant activity blocks free radicals and combats their activity, thereby preventing cell apoptosis and damage to the DNA and the metabolism.

Moisturising and anti-wrinkle activity: in vivo clinical trials, conducted on 20 female volunteers between 20 and 50 years of age, showed that a product containing 2% SOCRI pro YOUTH helps to visibly reduce wrinkles and has a long-term moisturising effect.

The recommended percentage of use ranges from 1% to 5% depending on the type of formulation to be developed. As a rule, a 2% concentration is used. Creams containing SOCRI pro YOUTH are generally used 1 or 2 times per day. We recommend adding SOCRI pro YOUTH at a temperature of less than 55°C, during the cooling phase.
With regard to the clinical safety evaluation of SOCRI pro YOUTH, patch testing found the product to be safe and non-irritating at a 2% concentration.
