Cookies Policy

WHAT ARE COOKIES?

Cookies are pieces of code installed on your web browser that help the Data Controller provide services for the purposes described. Some Cookies, due to their purpose, may require User consent before installation.

What are they for?
Cookies allow us to store a User's settings and preferences. However, it is possible to prevent your computer from saving cookies in its browser. Instructions for modifying your browser settings are available under the “Help” section on the tool bar of nearly every browser. If you choose not to allow cookies, you will still be able to visit our site, but some of the services or sections may not function properly. Without cookies, your use of our site and of the services it offers will be limited. Once you grant your permission, tracking Cookies will be saved on your computer. Cookies are used to keep track of the pages you have visited and keep a record of your online activity. Such records are not associated with names, postal addresses, e-mail addresses or other similar data.

What types of Cookies are there?
The Italian Data Protection Authority has defined two categories of cookies: “technical” cookies and “profiling” cookies.
Technical cookies are those that are used exclusively with a view to providing the best possible service to the User. In other words, it is not necessary to obtain Users’ prior consent before using them (we abide by this regulation).
Profiling cookies, in the words of the Data Protection Authority, are “aimed at creating user profiles. They are used to send advertising messages in line with the preferences shown by the user during navigation”. Given that both the Italian Data Protection Authority and European legislation consider cookies of this type to be invasive vis-à-vis the User's private sphere, the Users’ consent is necessary before installing them.

How can I manage Cookies?
Users can manage their Cookies preferences directly from their own browsers and, for instance, prevent third parties from installing them. In the preferences section of your browser you can also delete Cookies that have been previously installed, including Cookies that may have recorded your consent to allow this site to install Cookies on your computer. It is important to note that, by disabling all Cookies, the operation of this site may be compromised. Users can find information on how to manage Cookies on their specific browsers at the following addresses: Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Apple Safari and Microsoft Windows Explorer.
With regard to third-party services, the User may exercise his or her right to refuse third-party tracking cookies by viewing the third parties’ privacy policies and contacting them directly.
The Data Controller moreover informs Users that they may make use of the Your Online Choices service Your Online Choices. his service allows Users to manage their tracking preferences for the majority of advertising tools. The Data Controller therefore advises Users to make use of this resource in addition to the information provided in this document.
